Agent Runtime
Vendor-neutral Task and Goal contracts for short and long-running agent work: acceptance criteria, evidence of completion and a durable journal.
Two work contracts
Task is bounded atomic work with explicit acceptance: a versioned manifest, instructions, a command, allowed exit codes and expected output, and limits on time, context, and output.
- Go packages for embedding
- a reference CLI
- a JSON Schema for the manifest
- lifecycle events with redaction
- refusal of unknown fields and versions
Goal is complex or long-running work with a versioned journal, a live acceptance checklist, ordered phases and machine-checkable receipts.
Boundaries
The first release defines the boundary between a control plane and an agent that is already installed. It does not implement a model provider, a tool protocol, a scheduler or an operating-system sandbox. The code is published under AGPL-3.0.
